Pantone’s most recent color report dubs Spring 2014 “a season of colorful equilibrium” because soft pastels and vivid brights are equally represented among the season’s IT colors. There’s no time like the start of a new year to refresh and revive our personal styles. Embracing spring’s prominent hues (even though it’s still winter) is a great way to achieve a little wardrobe renewal this time of year.
I visited J.Crew Factory recently and was thrilled to see the newly available spring colors in the Factory textured Charley sweater. My immediate favorite was the purple Charley. I envisioned it holding its own and also layering well over a variety of shirts, including the light chambray shirt I paired it with today. As usual, the entire factory store was on sale, so I snagged the sweater at 30% off.

Love the bright, cheery color of the sweater…and the clutch is the perfect compliment to it!
Thanks, Tara. I'm relying on cheery colors to get through this horrid winter 🙂
You look lovely! Your lipstick is so chic! Question: Have been eyeing that sweater myself and wondering if it wearable without a cami?
Thx! Lisa
Thanks, Lisa! You certainly can wear the textured Charley sweater without a cami. The sweater is only a tad sheer. So, go for it!
