The start of a new style season is especially exciting. We’re approaching that time of year when the weather changes and our wardrobe has to change along with it. I know a lot of you (teachers and students) are getting ready to go back to school and are shopping for new school year styles. I was invited to check out the back-to-school shopping scene at Ross Dress for Less, the nation’s largest off-price apparel and home fashion chain. Today’s post shares what I found.
I visited Ross Dress for Less and within minutes I found 6 items—a cobalt blue top, an embroidered tunic, a polka dot blouse, a colorblock sweater dress, a striped shift, and a black pencil skirt—that I had to try on. All of these items were right-on-trend styles by top designers that could easily anchor back-to-school outfits. They were each priced under $40 too.
After visiting the fitting room, I decided to purchase a three-quarter sleeve, striped dress with zippered details at the shoulder. This designer dress, with a retail price of $140 and a Ross price under $40, is the perfect transitional piece for this time of year. It’s a lightweight jersey material that will layer perfectly.
In today’s look, the dress is worn with booties, pink accessories, and a large tote bag.
