Can you tell I’ve been digging the graphic black and white trend this summer? Black and white is just so clean and classic, and the combination provides the perfect canvas for infusing summer brights.
Today’s featured dress, a versatile piece that I’ve worn to work and after work, is by Claude Brown. I found it in Daffy’s back in 2011 and it remains a favorite dress in my wardrobe because of its silhouette and jazzy print.
In today’s post, the dress is worn with lots of gold accessories, pink pointed toe flats, a blue cardigan (for when it’s cold inside), and a bold purple lip (Mac ‘Heroine’ lipstick).
I’m linking with Mix and Match Fashion for the What I Wore to Work challenge today.

Thanks, Jacqueline! I'm so glad you stopped by, fellow style blogger. I'll be emailing you shortly about some fun fashion happening in the Lou.
Now you know I'm addicted to lipstick and so going to buy that color. Love it on you.
Sing…Mac "heroine" is a must! Of course, it's a limited edition color, so you'll have to move quickly the next time it comes back. I love this color so much that I bought a backup in a recent rerelease.
Love your style! You look so elegant in this outfit. I looked back over some of your other posts and they're all wonderful, too. I'm a former educator and I understand about the "unfashionable qualities of the academic profession." You're doing a great job of bringing fashion and style into your environment.

Thanks so much, Heather! I appreciate you stopping by and especially appreciate hearing from someone who understands the look of the academy 🙂
I'm loving the graphic print of that dress with the bright colors you added. So classy and fun at the same time!
Thanks, Andi! It was the print (well…and the silhouette too) that won me over!
Always a fan of black and white and thanks for suggesting the sweater with it too – my office is always freeeezing!!
Yay for black and white, Dacy! By the way, this J.Crew Jackie cardigan is my favorite cardigan style at the moment. They come in a breathable cotton and have perfect bracelet sleeves. I've been stocking up on the colors when they go on sale.
Thanks for the shoutout!! We love your style! We have a photo contest going on right now so be sure to enter and tell your friends! 🙂 http://bit.ly/12gx8C6
