Casual Style: Old Navy Twill Cargo Vest

I've been fascinated with this Old Navy twill cargo vest since last Fall.  I passed on it at that time because I wasn't certain that its safari-cargo vibe suited my style.  There's something special about the combination of a cargo vest and a dress though.  Tres chic!

When I saw that Old Navy reintroduced the vest this month, I jumped at the chance to own one.  So glad I did!  Check out how this little vest adds a bit of edge to a stripe t-shirt dress.  I wore this outfit to a casual dinner and movie date on Saturday night.

Talking about the movies, my fellow Bourne fans, what did you think of Bourne Legacy?

  2. I love this entire look...head to toe! Can't wait until Sybil, my hair, grows up! LOL Don't you just love Ebay! I'm thinking of asking for a MK watch or bag for Christmas. The styles are always so classic.

    1. First. I totally LOVE that your hair has a name. And, yes, gotta love eBay. I would surely endorse putting a special request in for an MK watch. They are truly classic. I was planning on getting the gold one as a gift for last Christmas. Christmas came early, though, when I found one in TJ Maxx for much much less than retail.

  3. I'm glad I'm getting my comment in early: I haven't seen the movie yet, and I don't want to accidentally read any spoilers! I think that vest is a timeless piece that can be paired with so many different pieces. It's very cute with your striped dress (love the print mixing!), and if I might add, your hair looks great!

    1. I won't say a word about Bourne then :-) But, we have to talk after you see it.

I absolutely agree with you about the timeless quality of the vest. I'm so glad I overcame my resistance to the style. And thanks re:the hair. This was a blowout.

  4. You look so cute! I just got this vest last week as well as their denim vest. I'm brainstorming how to style them and will probably feature them on my blog in a few weeks :)

  10. I've been wanting to buy this vest also, but it's sold out in my size online, and I've been felling lazy to go look for it in stores, haha! I was also waiting for it to go on sale, but this is one hot item that must be grabbed for full price!

    1. Yeah...ON items have been selling out quickly! You're right, this one probably won't make it to markdowns. I didn't take any chances this time around. I even called my store to have it put on hold :-)
