Layering Light Part II

In last Monday's post, Layering Light,  I used a summer layering tip from a recent J.Crew newsletter to restyle a shirtdress.  Layering, of course, is a key tool used by dress lovers and anyone who wants to expand the styling possibilities of their wardrobes.

In today's post, I'm restyling my Rachel Roy Isadora dress.  This dress has such a beautiful overlapping v-neckline that I wanted my additional layer to keep that detail exposed.  I opted, then, for a lightweight button-front shirt that I left open.  I used a belt to cinch everything together.

  2. Oh the color combination here is simple divine! I love the contrast that is not too harsh but not too soft. Great, great outfit.

    1. Thanks, Mica! Originally, I wanted a mint topper, but my mint blazer is too hot to wear right now, so the aqua shirt had to suffice :-)
