Last Saturday, I wore this outfit to a concert at the Peabody Opera House in downtown St. Louis. I was striving for a retro chic look with the dots and pearls. To counter the "sweetness" of the outfit, a snakeskin clutch and belt, and python print wedges were added.
I purchased the J.Crew dress to wear to the wedding of a hip friend in a few months. I've got cool plans to jazz it up. Polka dots are always fun to play with, right? The dress screams versatility, so you'll probably see it featured here many times before the wedding.
Dress—J.Crew scatter dot dress
Belt—Banana Republic Factory Store (similar BR belt)
Shoes—Ellen Tracy via Marshalls (similar)
Bag—Philip Lawrence via Imperfect Concepts
Pearls—Overstock
Faux Pearls—Forever 21 knotted pearlescent necklace

Love the belted look. You've given me an idea on how to style my polka dot dress. Did I mention that I get so much style inspiration from your posts?
