Don’t you just love all the inspiration in the style blogosphere? Yesterday, I spotted Ailyn of Jane Squared rocking a beautiful blue poppy dress with an orange cardigan. Her dress reminded me of a Marc New York dress I own, but don’t wear often enough. I was immediately inspired, then, to recreate Ailyn’s look.
I decided to pair my dress with an orange tee instead of a cardigan because it is sizzling hot here. I was concerned, though, that the ruffle detail on the dress would look bulky under a tee, but surprisingly, it didn’t.

I rarely use self-tie belts. I decided to try the one that came with this dress as a sash on my tote. After I saw this photo, I removed it though. Ha! |

Cute dress and as a skirt. I really like the pattern.
BTW, those shoes are wicked cute on you!
Love the tee with the dress! 🙂
I really like the belt tied onto your tote bag too, I thought it looks great!
Thank you for the shout out! We love your take on orange & blue floral. 😀
I just noticed you have great legs! Love that bag.
