Dress-ing Day and Night

My recent relocation has been quite exhausting.  Now that I have my closet organized, though, getting dressed has become easier.  The strategy–just throw on a dress and go.  To help me continue to find great dresses to pull from my closet, I’ve been on the hunt for unique pieces to add to my wardrobe.

Day

The dress I am wearing today is one of those finds.  It is a print sheath dress by BCBG featuring stripe and solid black blocks at the bottom.  I am wearing it belted today with grey wedge pumps.  I won the dress in an eBay auction with a winning bid of $29.99.

Night

Tonight, I will wear a dress I recently found in the Runway at Maxx collection of my local TJ Maxx. It is a geometric print tank dress from Akiko with a flowy racerback tank attached to a banded bottom.  It had a TJ Maxx price of $69.99 and a retail price of about $196.  It is simple, but chic, and had my attention once I spot the racerback.

I don’t own a racerback bra, so I used one of the strap away bra clips to transform a regular bra into a racerback bra.  I found a pack of 4 clips in a Dollar Tree store.

I love racerbacks; I think they're so flattering… and I've also tried a product similar to the Strap Away, and it works pretty well. I just have to be careful of the placement of the strap away because depending on the top/dress, you can sometimes see it.

The racerback holders are a great idea!

Love the BCBG dress. It is very versatile and can dressed up or down. The bra clips are essential. I used them all the time. Love the blog.

You always look GREAT! Thanks for the reminder about those bra converter things. And I also love the gray wedges on you. Very nicely done!
