Looking Back, Looking Forward

A modern classic. Today’s timeless feature is a figure-flattering, denim sheath. This cool cotton, sleeveless dress has tiny stitched pleats and a self-belt with a flower buckle at the natural waist.

For work, the sheath is topped by a bold yellow (electric sun), short sleeve, pointelle-knit cardigan with ruffles. Black wedge pumps and a snake-embossed leather tote complete the look.

What a great dress! That's perfect for a day-to-evening look when you're going out after work.

I love that cardigan with the ruffles too! So pretty!

I love the color combination. Yellow has become one of my favorite colors.

That is super cute! What is in the center of the flowers?

Thanks everyone! That cardigan was a great clearance find too. I believe it was about $15 including taxes.

Bianca: There are buttons with a houndstooth print at the center of the flowers. I was very much drawn to that little accent. Actually, the dress's clearance price of $49 was also attractive because Kay Unger dresses can easily range from $200-$300.

Bianca: I love textures like this one too. They make items look very expensive. And, well, I guess this dress was actually expensive, but not at Marshalls prices! 🙂
